Plant safety and explosion protection

Electrostatic spraying systems and devices are subject to the ATEX- Directive 2014/34/EU for the manufacturer and Directive 1999/92/EC for the owner and employer. The requirements of the EN 50050:2013 and EN 50223:2015 standards continue to apply to flocking equipment and systems.

Due to my active participation in the standardization committee K239-Electrostatic Spraying Devices and continuous training by the TÜV, I have the necessary background knowledge for the evaluation and prevention of hazards on this equipment.

With the qualification as ‘qualified person for testing’ according to BetrSichV, appendix 2 – section 3 – 3.1, I support you as an expert with the corresponding expertise and suitable concepts for the following topics.

Risk assessments

The Working Conditions Act and the Ordinance on Hazardous Substances define the employer’s obligations with regard to a safe work environment.

The basis of all necessary measures is the preparation of a risk assessment of the production environment according to §5 of the ArbSchG and §6 of the GefStoffV (German law).

I create the necessary risk assessments and develop concepts to avoid identified hazards.

Conformity assessments

CE marking requires continuous reflection on possible hazards and their prevention.

I accompany the development process from the perspective of the user.

The goal is the rule-compliant preparation of hazard analyses and documentation for successful CE marking.

The documentation is done via the software tool Savexpert 8.6.

Explosion protection concepts

When processing flammable substances or liquids, a possible explosion hazard must be evaluated and limited.

My scope of services includes the preparation of a corresponding explosion protection concept with the following contents:
Preparation of risk assessments according to GefStoffV, §6, section 9.

Zoning and zone evaluation in the area of dust or solvent load as well as evaluation of the plant environment according to TRGS 720-727 regulations.

Preparation of the necessary documents for testing prior to initial commissioning and periodic testing of systems in potentially explosive areas according to EN 60079-14 or TRBS 1201 Part1 (German law).

We look forward to your inquiry
